And it seemed I remember guys being Spc 5 rank for-damned-near-ever in my father's Army.<br /><br />Now, anyone who doesn't keep getting promoted gets tossed out. <br /><br />When it came time for me to go from E-4 to E-5, I was told I would be an NCO, period.
