Sometimes to err is human but to really screw the pooch requires a computer

Apparently a common Mandarin character has the additional meaning "do" in the porn-movie-dialogue sense of "Oh, God, do me now, baby..."

This has caused an outbreak of goofs in computer-translated Mandarin-to-English, particularly with the Olympics focusing outside media attention on all things off-the-wall in China.

    Almost as funny as the "Sh*t" shampoo in Japan.
    On the flip side though, I love the Chinese version of Coke a cola, "Happiness in mouth."
    Yeah, I can get behind that.

    Reminds me of the recent to-do when the American Family Association's replacement of the word "gay" with homosexual um, backfired, resulting in the unfortunate news stories transforming athlete "Tyson Gay" into "Tyson Homosexual"!
